10 MOTHER’S DAY GIFT IDEAS
This year is zooming by and soon enough it will be Mother’s Day. A day that we all love our Mums a little bit harder and a little bit better. With that in mind, I have put together a little inspirational list of 10 gifts (all available online) to get your gifting juices flowing…
Every Mum loves some flowers in her life, right? But how about giving the gift of everlasting blooms for a change, such as the beautiful ones created by Anne Wiscombe and available on Etsy.
DIY MINI LOOM KIT
If your Mum is a bit crafty (in the DIY sense, not the sneaky sense), she might love one of these mini loom kits from Zana. I’ve been a fan of Zana ever since I came across their products at one of the KAMERS/Makers events in Cape Town. #notanaffilliate #justafan
Mum feeling a bit overwhelmed? Mum in need of not being responsible for a day? Why not give her a fun mug emblazoned with I Can’t Adult Today! on it from Prezzy Box! Perfect for when she just wants to chill out and have a ‘mummy time out‘!
MINI SELF-CARE KIT
I’m a big fan of self-care and if you think you’re Mum’s in need of spoiling herself for a change, instead of everyone else, give her this cute tiny self-care kit from Hope The Black Dog on Etsy. It won’t break the bank either!
I’ve always loved all the little doodles my kids have done over the years, but unless I want to be featured on the next season of Hoarders, I can’t keep every single work of art. Maybe your Mum is in the same boat? Or maybe your little one drew a picture of Grannie that you’d like to immortalise for her? If so, check out the personalised doodle jewellery offered by Fingerprint Jewellery on Not On The High Street.
PERSONALISED GLASSES STAND
If your Mum is a glasses wearer and in need of a special place to rest them at night, a personalised glasses holder could be the way to go. I love the idea! You can even put a special meaningful message on it too. Available from MijMoj Design on Not On The High Street.
Yeah, yeah, I know what you’re thinking 😛 Scented Candles are soooooooooo 10 years ago. But the beautiful offerings from Rhubarb and Teal are on another level. Imagine scents of Thai Lime & Mango or Pink Champagne & Pomelo wafting through your living room. Made using soya wax, coconut wax and luxury fragrances, the scent of these will last and last. They even have a range of rose gold tinned candles…and who doesn’t love a bit of rose gold right now!
PERSONALISED FAMILY PRINT
I love this idea. My friend actually has a version in her kitchen and I’ve always admired it. Get a personalised family print from Of Life & Lemons on Not On The High Street. I particularly like this ‘drink’ version, and if your Mum is like me and likes the odd glass of vino, she’ll be sure to love it!
HANDPRINT FAMILY TREE
If you’re on a bit of a budget but still want to give Mum a unique gift, how about making your own hand-print family tree. Take an A4 or A3 plain piece of paper, draw the wooden trunk and enough branches to accommodate all the family members, then hand-print each of your hands onto the paper. You may have to get a bit creative about how you get your Mums’ hand on there though. Maybe get her to print her hand first one afternoon when you’re having a painting day? Pinterest has a lot of examples if you’re in need of inspiration.
If you’d prefer to get one professionally printed instead, Not On The High Street has lots of options to choose from such as the beautiful offering from Lillypea Event Stationery
I actually have the ‘friend’ version of this beautiful LED bottle light gift and love it. These ‘Mum’ versions are just as cool and the words on each one are beautiful. Provided by Glitzy Creations and available on Etsy.
However you decide to treat your Mum, I hope it’s a beautiful day. And if you’re a Mum yourself, like me, I hope we all get some extra hugs with our little miracles and maybe put our feet up a bit more than usual.
Lots of love
