DIY HULK COSTUME
That’s super easy, budget friendly and pretty awesome too!
Yey, Halloween is just around the corner and you know what that means….dress-up time!
I love making costumes for the kids, and I love it even more when I don’t have to break the bank to do it!
The kids are still undecided as to what they would like to be this year, but last year’s costumes were the ones I loved the most. Both to make and to look at.
The costume I want to share today was the Hulk costume I made for my son. He was adamant that he was going to be Hulk and I was equally adamant that I had no clue how to do it.
First stop on my costume hunt is usually the local China Mart. Pretty sure there’s one is almost every city on the planet. You know the place. The place where you can find just about anything and everything under the sun at lower than normal prices.
Jackpot! I found a Hulk mask for R10 (about 50p!)…now what?
I raided my kids’ wardrobes, that’s what!
I found a spare white t-shirt in my daughters wardrobe and an old, almost too small pair of shorts in my sons wardrobe. A few cuts and rips here and there and I was sorted!
Now the fun part…
I found a big pot of green face paint at the craft store and covered my boy from head to toe. ha ha! We were all laughing so much as it was happening. I don’t think my boy could believe what I was doing! Too funny for words!
And there you have it! A Halloween costume that looks amazing and that costs less than R100 (£5/$6). Bargain, right!
Let me know what you think or what your kids are dressing up as this year, I’d love to know!
