TOP 5 INSPIRATIONAL TRAVEL BLOGGERS
My family and I love to travel. We love exploring new places, people and cultures. However I can say without a shadow of a doubt that we don’t get to travel anywhere near as much as we would like to.
My dream life would be that which would allow us to be free to travel the world constantly. The world would be our address. We would Worldschool our children and not have to answer to anyone. Doesn’t that sound idyllic?
It’s not as far fetched as it might sound. There are already many families living this exact life, or a variation of it, adding to a growing community of Worldschooling families living life on the road, in the air and at sea.
Through my research and general wanderlusting, I have found the following 5 blogging families who stand out from the rest. They are truly inspirational to me and I hope they can be to you too.
We3Travel is a wonderful website run by the Grubers. A Family of 3 who love to strengthen their family bond through travel. While they are not technically part of the Wordschooling community, they do travel at every opportunity, and they provide fabulous family travel inspiration on their blog.
The main protagonist of the blog, Tamara, has handily grouped her posts into different categories to ease your hunt around the website. Whether you are looking for family trips, luxury travel, adventure trips, girls trips or romantic getaways, there’s plenty of inspiration at your fingertips.
World Travel Family
World Travel Family are a family of 4 who have been travelling for the past 5 years. They, and I quote, “Inspire you to travel more, further and better”
They provide a great deal of Homeschooling advice and information which I really appreciated. Even though we are not homeschooling at the moment, this is something which we are looking into with much enthusiasm.
Stuffed Suitcase is a great source of family travel advice, packing tips and ideas on how to entertain kids on the road. The author, Kim, is very easy to relate to and writes in an easy to read ‘voice’. I really enjoyed her Top 10 tips for staying healthy while traveling post.
Earth Trekkers are a family of 4 that share a passion for travel, adventure, and living life to the fullest. They took 13 months out of ‘regular life’ to travel 87000km around the world which gives me serious travel envy! This is something my husband and I are determined to do with our children at some point in the not too distant future. There is so much to explore in this amazing world we live in, and I truly believe that the daily rat race shouldn’t hold us back from living life to the fullest. If you want to see what can be achieved in 13 months of constant travel, do yourself a favour and check them out. They have even documented 365 days of travel in photos. Brilliant!
yTravelblog are possibly my kindred travel family. Although unlike me and my crew who are still dreaming…this lot are out living the dream! Every world written here sounds like Caz and Craig are talking directly to me. “You’re tired of life stuck in the hamster wheel, and want to reclaim a little bit of freedom, ease and joy”. Yuh-huh!!!
They have great tips on how to save for your travels, how to plan, how to find and plan your perfect trip plus much more.
The most amazing thing though is the amount of info that is sent to you when you sign up to their newsletter. I still haven’t worked my way through it all but man oh man it’s great added value and very inspirational. They even ask you to email them and tell them more about your plans for travelling so that they can give you more advice on how to achieve your travelling goals.
This blog has been around since 2010 and they have amassed over 4 million followers on Pinterest! Whaaaaaaaaat?
Maybe one day…
…I’ll be on someone elses’ inspirational list. Who knows….?
I hope this has inspired a bit of Wanderlust in you too. I’d love to know if you’re planning a new trip or if you’re also thinking of packing your bags for a life of Worldschooling adventures with your kids.
